Built first for the people who need privacy the most. One press shares where you are with the people you trust.
Safe.
SOS with live location
A countdown you can cancel, then continuous live location to your chat contacts until you hold to say you’re safe.
Emergency number, one tap
amend knows the national emergency number where you are and puts a call button right on the SOS screen.
Calls that connect
Voice and video calls reach across borders through private relay servers, even when a direct connection between phones fails.
Honest security notes
- A young app. amend has not had an independent security audit yet.
- Metadata stays hidden. Gift-wrapped messages hide who you talk to from the relays.
- Your IP address is visible to the relays you connect to. Use a VPN or Tor (Orbot) if that matters to you.
- Your key is yours. If you lose it without a backup, nobody can recover your account. Keep your backup key private.
